Downtown Cab Co Private Fare achievement - phone never rings!

Hey guys,

Looking for a bit of advice on what to try. I've had the game since launch, purchased Downtown Cab Co with Franklin a line time ago, and I was once run asking fro a private fare but I accidentally died / exited the mission and have since never received another
phone call to activate the mission again.

I've looked at some other forums and tried:

- Deleting all the texts on the in game phone about "Apologies, shouldn't have bothered you."

- Created a new save game slot and loaded it

- Switching between characters

- Driving around aimlessly with Franklin both in a cab and in a regular car.

I'm wondering if any of you had this trouble and what I may do to help remedy it?

I don't have any more missions to perform with Franklin so I'm not sure what else to try.

Making TIme Fly ? tricks -story line mode

Driving around as Franklin taking cab fares when the Downtown Cab Co. call for help is interesting with some of the people you pick up. Just picked up some woman that wanted me to tail her boyfriend or something after she read his emails of some meet that
was going down with another woman. After tailing him for a bit he pulls into a car park where she pulls out a gun, confronts him about it in which he explained it was a "patient" before she smokes both of them then legs it.

 

All's Fare in Love and War

Ok, I've completed the main story missions and then bought the cab depot. I've done about 10 or so normal fares and have yet to receive a call from Raul for a private fare, which pertains to the achievement. A lot of days have passed as well due to me
doing the Kifflom! thing with Michael. How long does it take for Raul to call? Do I need to do even more regular cab jobs?

 

Since the post I've already tried;

- Killing myself

- Checking the phone/notification settings to make sure they are set to 'no delay' and phone is not off.

- Advancing the days by sleeping a few times in a row

But, nothing seems to be working.. very odd..

 

I've seen some players on other GTA forums complaining about this same thing. Same as you, they accepted the first call but never picked up the fare, and then the phone never rang again.

This guy, however, managed to get it to work by purchasing the tow company, he said he got a call from the cab company in just a few minutes after buying it. A couple other people on the same forum said it worked for them, so you might give that a shot:

I got it by starting a new game. Then buying the cab company as soon as possible. So far I got 2 calls. One I was able to pick up in my POV.
