    Downloads while being in standby mode doesn't work currently with Xbox Series X


    Basically everyone I ask confirms this. The console doesn't do anything while you have it in standby even if you activated everything correctly.

    If you have downloads and you go into standby and come back 8 hours later, it continues right where you left off.

    Wasn't this tested, like at all before launch?

    We NEED dragon ball z to have more backward compatible games!

    At this time, there are no firther additions to BC being made. While it may resume sometime after the Series X launch, this is by no means guaranteed. The team is currently verifying every single existing Xbox game that runs in the one works on Series

    Extremely long install times

    My xbox downloads at approximately 10% of my bandwidth while in standby mode through wifi. 250mb an hour in standby while on wifi. While on it downloads 4-5 gb an hour. I just tried a wired connection and seemed to fix it. Give it a try.

    Xbox Series X isn't downloading anything while in Standby Mode

    I tried this on my new Xbox Series X and it is not working. The moment I turn off my xbox, the bandwidth monitor on my router goes to idle for the xbox. And the moment I pressed and held the controller button, the bandwidth monitor shows actvity shows max bandwidth used by xbox since it's instant on.

    I did the powercycle thing. No dice. Any other solutions? My console and controllers are all up to date as of today.

    Hi VincentCanchola, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    On your power mode settings kindly change it to "Energy saver" then perform a powercycle, and after that switch it back to "standby" this is to refresh your settings.

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    Next Gen games downloads keep stopping when I turn off the console.

    Xbox defaults to Energy saver mode. You will have to switch it to standby for downloads to continue while powered down
