Downloads slow down and eventually stop

Other devices working fine have absolutely NOTHING to do with a stable connection to xbox live ....that's a FACT ....call support and ask for yourself,....

 

Wait you mean the same Xbox live that my 360 is connected to that works just fine? You couldn't troubleshoot out of a wet paper bag. I don't think the consoles are bad at all. It's most likely a software issue. You're also ignoring the fact of others having
the same issue, I didn't even start this thread. Just get out of the thread as you have nothing useful for anyone with the problem. It's blatantly obvious you have no idea how any of this works. Reading networking for dummies doesn't count, actually maybe
you should read that.

 

Again. You don't know how it works....xbox 360 connection has NOTHING to do with an Xbox one connection. .....another FACT....you can ask Tiadara if you want. ...he is by far the smartest guy on here....other than you of course....

 

It has to be a software related issue because a lot of people are having the same problem and they weren't having this problem before the update.

 

It might be , but to be sure , test on another network......it's still gona be users end most likely , users xbox , or users network or maybe the isp is doing something differant .....I just don't see any fix on Microsofts end as it doesn't seem that
widespread to me...

 

Das Pickle - After countless calls and chats with microsoft it appears they finally resolved their server side issue as my speeds are back to normal. Check yours

 

Things still the same for me azstang95 . I thought maybe it was because I was in the preview program so I opted out of the preview program, factory reset the xbox again, then to make sure I had the original software and not the preview software I did an
offline update of the original OS and still same bulls#1t slow connection that eventually dies. I might just have to send it in for repairs just to make sure its not a hardware problem. I feel its a software problem and not its not a user problem. For all
the money we give Microsoft I should just be able to go to a Microsoft store and trade it out for a new one instead of having to send it off to them for and wait a month for them to fix it.

 

That's a new slim , I would take it to a ms store and exchange it out .....yours is the same because there was no issue on microsofts servers , would have affected a lot more people ....

Your probably right , a sever was down , affected only 2 or 3 people...stranger things have happened I guess.....

 

Why has the dev team admitted they are aware of the issue and working on a fix then? Just stop posting if you have nothing to contribute. You aren't helping anyone and just starting fights.

 

The dev team is working on an issue with the Xbox Slim when its set to "Instant On" that is similar to the OP's post but a reset of the Xbox or a switch to "Power Saving" mode corrects that issue for now , until a fix is issued.

 

I started nothing sir , if you go back and read I was attacked for simple stating what is and has been the norm in issues like this , user end , plan and simple ....99 times out of 100 ....unless of course it's widespread , which this wasn't ( except as
stated above with the slim in instant on ) and I stand by that , if one guys cleared up. something changed on his end......If on MS 's end , this place would have blown up.....

 

@azstang I have the same problem. I do a speed test its showing full connection but when I download it crawls at 1mb. I have had the same ISP/Speed for 10 years no problems on 360 or XB1 until this new interface hit this year. Its ms side not us and it gets
worse every update. Its getting out of hand. @MineDaddy if you go to the early access forums you will see its quite a few ppl having this problem. Its not just the S Model also. My buddy across town has a different ISP and router his does the same. I get full
connection on everything else but downloads. If it was me i should be getting the same results on all the apps and games that i use but I don't they are working up to par. Seems to me ms doesnt have the server bandwidth up enough to where everyone gets there
full connection output for dls.

 

Umm try changing you dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
