Downloads slow down and eventually stop

Same issue here with the original black Xbox one. I test at 60mb down and when I download a game 1mb/s. Just started after one of the recent updates. Tried replacing the console with a brand new one and replaced my modem. It does it wired or wireless with
or without a router. My PS4 PS3 and 360 all are fine. Microsoft won't acknowledge an issue.

I don't know about it dying but eventually it has to slow down and stop being a yearly release. The developers keep trying to killing it this gen, it just refuses to die.

 

LONG/ERROR GAME DOWNLOADS... CANT ENTER GAMES AFTER DOWNLOADS

Extremely slow game downloads on my brand new xbox one. Sometime will download fine and then an error will happen and keep happening and stop the download. Then after restarting and reinstalling the game sometimes it will complete the download but then I
cant enter the game. Also once the game downloads, it seems to LAG/Slow down everything else on my xbox... Please Help!

 

I'm experiencing this problem with my new Xbox One S 1TB model.

 

I seem to be the only one that I've seen having the problem with a non S model. Lucky me

 

Yeah, I can't even play games online or party chat. The connection just keeps dying. I've restarted everything and even tried a different router.

 

Yup I have a blank console since I returned the brand new one and my old one was reset to factory defaults. It's pretty much useless at this point. I have a case open with Microsoft but they insist it's not a widespread issue and basically tell me they'll
repair my console or its equipment on my end. The new console did the same thing, I replaced my modem (which didn't need replacing) and my equipment works fine or else it would be affecting everything. It's extremely frustrating.

 

Certain isp issued routers don't work well with xbox but works fine with all other equipment. ...Arris , Technicolor and Superhubs are some of the worst offenders. ....

 

I don't have an ISP issued router. Also this problem just magically started with zero changes to my equipment. It also speed tests correctly. It's clearly not an equipment problem. This is a Microsoft problem that needs to be addressed and addressed quickly.

 

What equipment do you have ? A modem and a router or a gateway ? brand and model numbers .....if a new Xbox did the same thing , VERY likely on your end....one guy on herequest a while back got 3 or 4 new ones that all did the same thing , he finally
took it to a differant network and it was fine....as were the others he thought were bad...

 

Very likely on my end? Yet the Xbox speed tests correctly but doesn't download correctly. Multiple people having the same issue, all other devices on the network work perfectly fine, Xbox one was working perfectly fine prior to updates. Do you even understand
how troubleshooting works? You're basically implying that a device decided magically to allow a speed test correctly but slow downloads to dial up speed on just one device in my house out of the clear blue. Not to mention it does it in every scenario, wired,
wireless, through the router, direct to the modem and direct to a brand new modem. You should learn some more about networking. We need Microsoft to address this issue not someone who doesn't know what a gateway is.

 

Pretty sure I know what a gateway is , replaced enough of them....how many new Xboxs would you have to hook up that did the same thing before you might think it's on your end ?... ..take it to somebody elses network and test it....other devices working
perfectly mean nothing unless the other devices are also xbox ones. .....

Try Energy-saving mode, if your console's power mode is currently set to Instant-On.

And again the Xbox one was working fine prior to the recent updates on the same equipment that didn't have any updates. You're the type of person that refused to acknowledge there is a problem based on the fact that you're not having the problem. And other
devices working fine DO mean something, it means that the equipment is working fine. And again I'll repeat it again since it appears you don't read very well, the speed tests on the Xbox one show correctly, others are reporting the same issue, and all my equipment
is functioning fine. I don't think you understand how troubleshooting works. Direct cable connection to the modem does the same thing. Direct cable connection to a brand new modem does the same thing. Xbox speed tests correctly in any situation on both the
internal network stats and speed tests on the browser from the Xbox. No other devices encountering the issue. Xbox was working fine prior to recent updates on the same equipment for years. Sure it's on my end. Post when you have something productive to contribute
instead of saying it's on my end just because yours is fine.

 

Taidara I only use energy saving mode. The power settings don't have any affect on the issue me, and others are experiencing. Thanks
