    Downloading xbox games onto my pc


    I am trying to install games on my pc, that I have already purchased on the Microsoft store via my Xbox.

    So I access the Microsoft store on my pc with the same account that I use on Xbox.

    When clicking on the game , it does say that I already own it and that I can install it.

    (bearing in mind these are digitally downloaded games so it shouldn't be a problem)

    However when I click install I'm given a list of devices to choose from. My pc is not one of the devices on that list, just My Xbox.

    I'd like to know if anyone else has had the same issue but found a fix, after researching elsewhere I've noticed others have had the same issue and haven't been able to resolve it.

    How are you able to download it onto your PC as well? I'm subbed to Game Pass Ultimate, but I don't have an option to download it onto my PC. Only my two Xbox Ones

    How do I check that the game supports play anywhere? The game I'm trying to install is call of duty modern warfare , which I know you can play cross compatible.

    Make sure the games you're trying to install support Play Anywhere. If they do, you should be able to install them from your library in the Microsoft Store app. Otherwise, you would need to purchase the PC version of the games in order to play them on the PC.

    You can find a list here or check the description for the game in the store. It'll list Play Anywhere under Capabalities if it is. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is not Play Anywhere so you would have to purchase it for the PC to play it on the PC.

    I also activated my UE on XBox.com last night - it has successfully downloaded onto my XBox but I cannot find a link to download it onto my PC. (Windows 10 / 1607).
