    Downloading xbox 360 profile to xbox one


    Hi

    I'm trying to run some xbox 360 games in my new xbox one x. The games install fine but when launched I get a grey screen "Getting your xbox 360 info..." The progress bar doesn't move. Eventually the game launches and asks me to sign in. The menu comes up
    and there are o profiles available. I select download profile and after checking the network status for a while I get an error that I'm not connected to xbox live.

    After sever Google searches I've tried the following.

    Have tested all network connections in the xbox one and they are fine.

    Tried wired and wireless connections.

    Have factory reset the xbox and the router

    Have deleted local xbox 360 data from the xbox one

    Have set up dmz and port forwarding on the router.

    Have uninstalled and reinstalled the 360 game.

    After all the above I'm still unable to play the games.

    Does anyone have any other ideas or is it a fault in the xbox one I have?

    If I clear local Xbox 360 storage...

    it will clear the 360 profile from the Xbox One. Not the main profile.

    When you next run a 360 game on your Xbox One, your console will download this profile again.

    To clarify are you trying to re-download your profile on the Xbox 360 side of things or on the Xbox One side? To re-download your profile on the Xbox One follow

    Other profiles not able to play downloaded full games on same console

    To let someone else use the content license, you must download your Xbox Live profile to their Xbox 360 console. Then, transfer your content licenses to that Xbox 360 console.

    After you transfer your content, other profiles can use the content on that console.

    Ok, I'm a little unsure what you have or have not done, so I'll describe how I play 360 games on my Xbox One and hopefully this will help you out.

    I load up my Xbox One

    Go to "My Games and App" (there is an icon on the dashboard)

    Click on Xbox 360 Games (There should be a button at the top right labelled "Xbox One Games" click on it and one of the options will be Xbox 360 Games)

    Then click on one of the games that you want to download

    If its a game that you own on a disc, just put the disc into the Xbox One and it will download it onto the Xbox One.

    That's it, now downloading of Xbox 360 profiles (your Xbox One profile is your Xbox 360 profile)
