Downloading Xbox 360 game to Xbox One.

I have Black ops 2 and i'm trying to download it for Xbox One. I have tried 2 times but it always says error 0x8007000f and i have no clue what can i do about it. i have 400Gb left so i should be able to download it, i didn't buy it from Xbox store so its disc.
I have played same time that i downloaded it so can that be a problem?

Can't download xcom through Xbox live gold

Try downloading XCOM on the Xbox 360 if you have one. After downloading the game on the Xbox 360 go back to the Xbox One and check your Ready to Install section by going to My games & apps then scrolling right and the game should be there waiting for you.

Questions for new buyer

There's a couple of games that you can do a free upgrade on if bought digitally on Xbox 360. When you sign into Xbox One with the same account you can download the Xbox One versions for free. As far as I am aware this only applies to Destiny and COD AW, though there is a deadline to download the free upgrade versions by.

Minecraft can be had on Xbox One for a couple of quid if you own the 360 version last I looked.

As for which console is better, well new hardware obviously bests the ancient systems. The 360 library though is rock solid. I don't think mine will be packed away anytime soon.

I'm having the same problem with the force unleashed 1 and 2, just does not want to work at all. When Assassins creed got backwards compatibility I installed them fine. these games just don't want too.

Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.

For some Xbox 360 codes, when redeemed on Xbox One, the game can only be downloaded on Xbox One and not on an Xbox 360 console. I'm not entirely sure why, but redeeming on the Xbox One means that it does not show up in your Xbox 360 download history so the
older console does not recognise that you own, and can thus download, the game.

You'll still be able to download and play the game on Xbox One.

I hope this clarifies things.

I'd be happy to provide some input.

So to understand what it is that is trying to be done is that you are trying to download the two free games with gold for Xbox One on an Xbox 360?

I believe the error may be related to the difference in the store and marketplace for Xbox One games and Xbox 360 games. It may be that you will need an Xbox One to download those free games to your account as you can download the 360 game with gold but
not the Xbox One games. Also the 360 is not capable of downloading games for the Xbox One so that's another reason why it's giving you the error because the game needs to download to be applied to the account. That may just be how it is set up by design.

Ok, I'm a little unsure what you have or have not done, so I'll describe how I play 360 games on my Xbox One and hopefully this will help you out.

I load up my Xbox One

Go to "My Games and App" (there is an icon on the dashboard)

Click on Xbox 360 Games (There should be a button at the top right labelled "Xbox One Games" click on it and one of the options will be Xbox 360 Games)

Then click on one of the games that you want to download

If its a game that you own on a disc, just put the disc into the Xbox One and it will download it onto the Xbox One.

That's it, now downloading of Xbox 360 profiles (your Xbox One profile is your Xbox 360 profile)

Are you using a child account and trying to download an Xbox 360 game on an Xbox One. If so, you will need to download it on an Xbox 360.
