Downloading Saints Row IV problems

When trying to download Saints Row IV, I get a notification saying "Your Account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox". Holding the fact that I am on my Xbox one and trying to download the game,
I don't know what is wrong with this. Can someone please help?

I recommend checking out Saints Row, Saints Row II, Saints Row: The Third, and Saints Row IV. All great open world video games to play on the 360.

 

It's easy you are trying to download an m rated games on a child account you have two options

First have a parental account with gold) not home gold as that doesn't carry over onto 360) and download it via that

2nd download via a 360 console rented or borrowed or your own

Xbox one parental settings don't work on 360 as there is no unrestricted setting

You need to confirm parental permission which can't be done from the website

(Xbox one only uses a webportal and wouldn't be compatible as mentioned about the parental settings differences)

 

I have a similar issue. When I try to download this game I get the prompt in the store that says "you have no valid payment billing in file" this game is free for now and I DO NOT WANT TO PUT MY CREDIT CARD INFO ON THIS XBOX. is there a way to fix this or
bypass this issue? this only apply to Backward compatibility games for me.

Your issue is that you won't follow what the screen is telling you

You must have a payment method on file or use your console

 

As per the requirements of the 360 marketplace

 

Regarding the valid payment issue. That is utterly ridiculous. Xbox needs to fix this. I have never given them a credit card, nor would I ever want to. I prefer the prepaid xbox card method as it is more secure. Xbox Live has been hacked in the past, and
information has been stolen. I would never trust them with my credit card information, or my PayPal information. Guess I will never be downloading a 360 games for gold title.

If you are referring to the offline incidents that's not hacked nor was creditcard info stolen

That's a ddos attacks

And no you must follow the rules of xbox live there is no troubleshooting other then the ones listed above

If you don't want to put a creditcard your only option is to borrow or rent a console

It is that simple

If you don't want to do either that's your issue

The rules . don't change because you won't follow them

I am having this exact problem too. When I was younger my mom had parental control over my account, but now that I am older she gave me permission to lift it all. So I did. I changed the settings so that I am allowed to purchase content. I had no issue downloading
Sunset Overdrive, but Saints Row IV is not working. Do I need a physical copy of Saints Row IV then to download it? If that is the case, then I don't consider it free because I will then have to go out and buy the stupid thing.

Even though your mother supposedly gave you permission to change settings, it won't matter. The microsoft account linked to your gamertag more than likely shows under the age of 18. Changing the D.O.B. will not change the age of the account. You will be
unable to download Saints Row IV from an Xbox One. You would 1) Need a parent account to sign in with a Gold membership to download it for you OR 2) Download it from an Xbox 360. You can download M-Rated Xbox One games because the two consoles use different
marketplaces.

Well then what is the point of taking off the settings if they do no good? Lol. Thanks for the reply. I will downloading it off her account I guess. I have never had this issue before with a game so I don't understand why it would be doing this. Thanks again.

 

That didn't work. It acts like she isn't a member even though we are sharing the Gold account. Not sure what to do but hopefully I will figure it out at some point.

 

You can't download Games with Gold with the shared Gold feature. The parent account would need it's own individual membership.
