    1) If you go to the movie you've purchased and swipe up from the bottom, you'll see a Download option.

    2) Xbox SmartGlass gives you additional features if you watch the movie on your Xbox 360 and open the Xbox SmartGlass app on your Tablet, Phone, PC. You don't need to use the SmartGlass app if you don't want to. The movie will play just fine without it.

    Downloading purchased video

    I have two questions:

    1) I just purchased my first video and want to download it for offline viewing on my WIN8 tablet. I cannot find instructions on how to download.

    2) Another video that I want to purchase has XBOX Smartglass appended to the title in the XBOX Video store. If purchased can this video be downloaded and watched offline on my WIN8 tablet or does it require I be connected to my XBOX360 for viewing. I
    am wondering what the differences are between a video marked with the XBOX Smartglass designator and one without.

    Pressing the button under the title of the episode that is a circle with an arrow pointing down at a line should download the episode for you.

    If you've purchased movies and TV shows then they should be listed at Xbox Video in the account section. Be sure that you are on the gamertag you originally purchased the items with.

    Please be aware that there is currently no option to download Xbox Video purchases to the Xbox One console.

    justified has made me re buy more than half the episodes.

    SonicCommander, please try refreshing your purchase history. On the Xbox console, open Xbox Video > My Videos > Account Management > Press X



    Bonxy, you can't download Video content by using the purchase history on xbox.com.

    Using video app on windows 8 allows you to download purchased or rented movies.

    What are the expected behaviors of this ability. Or in other words what are the limitations to downloading the movie from the video app?
