Downloading profile to 360

I keep getting error code 83840002 try again later. I have cleared the caches and have cleared all my hard drives and cannot download my profile?

I hope this gets resolved soon as I use my 360 as my tv, Netflix and Internet.....Need it fast

Deleting downloaded profile?

I decided to dust off my 360 and I downloaded my profile awhile ago. But if I delete it and not my actual profile. All of my saves and data will still be there, right? Because from what I read. The only point of downloading your profile, is if you want to log in to a different console.

No,any downloadable content is able to be accessed by any profile on that xbox 360.
exactly the same principal as downloading an arcade game on your profile,and your wife/partner/anybody else being able to play on theirs.

 

There's a service alert up at the moment. You'll want to wait for that to clear up and then try again -
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status
