Downloading Patches/Updates

I'm trying to find out about patches/updates of some games for the Xbox One.



I know there was an update for NHL 15, Titanfall, and Far Cry 4. I'm sure there are a few other patches/updates for other games as well. Previously, games that needed updating were shown in my Queue. Now, no games show there. Also, on occasion, when
I inserted the game disc, the game would say it needs an update (which then I knew id GET the update).



NOW THOUGH, for some games, like the 3 listed above, I haven't seen the latest patch/update for the game in my Queue, and it also does NOT update when I've inserted the game disc itself.



So, my question is: Is my Xbox One AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADING these patches/updates when the Xbox is idle??? Obviously, I hope yes

^ wrong, now I am downloading the patch. 1.02gb and it's called "rent a server update"

do games on demand come with the patch or do you need to update after downloading it.

 

If you set your Xbox One to Instant On (under Settings/Power&Startup), your console WILL download updates automatically. You should never have to manually accept an update when your console is like this.

The reason games would show up in the Queue when you start the console up is that you started the console while it was automatically downloading games, so it continues them after you powered it on too. If, however, it's not doing an update at the time you
power on the console, you won't see them being done.
