Downloading older profile brings up error code 801540A9

I'm trying to download one of my old accounts so that I can re-obtain some of the games I bought while it was active, but everytime I try to download the profile it pops up a message stating "Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later."
And I have no clue what's going on. I have waited for an hour thinking it was just a temporary problem with Xbox servers but lo and behold it's still giving me the error.

And I Get The Error Code: 801540A9

I'm trying to download my profile and I keep getting error code 801540A9. When searching for help in Xbox live site, only result is for One. Can anyone help me?

 

Hey, The Offline DJ! Sorry to see that you're running into this error. We were investigating some issues with accounts yesterday for Xbox One and Windows 10, however this shouldn't have affected the Xbox 360. Does an error code appear with this message when
it pops up? Should start with an '80**-****', and they are generally 8 digits long like the example. Let me know so that we can dig into this further!

 

Yes the error code was 801540A9. And it would give me that message.

 

And it still is giving me the error.

However, I do see on your website profile that you were last online on your Xbox 360 yesterday. Are you still having this issue?

 

Yes, sadly it is still giving me problems. Same error code and message as well.

 

Well, darn. I was hopeful for a few there!

Since I have no information on this error code, and the issue is downloading the profile (so obviously trying to remove and download the profile again is pointless), I'd like to try on a different connection, or a different console.

To try on a different connection, you can use your phone as a tether connection. For a different console, my suggestion is to try on a different console at a friend's house to knock out both internet issues and console issues.

Let me know how that works for you! I've got other things we can try, but want to start here with the things that will likely be easiest.
