Downloading into the wrong drive

I cant seem to download small games like no mans sky into my alternative drive even though i change my option in settings

Also it wont let me install it into anything on the wron g drive

Please on file explorer, activate the option to see hidden files, it would be under the View option menu at the top of any explorer window

Once you do that corroborate that you have a ".GamingRoot" file on any of your drives, if you don't have one that's the reason for this, you will be able to install games that don't support changing the file path but not the ones that do

It says choose a drive and gives me the one i didnt choose

Sorry to hear it. Are you using an external drive? If so make sure the content is downloading to the proper drive. It may be that it's trying to download to the wrong one.

I put a flash drive in my xbox and downloaded profile to it no problem. Guessing this means there is something wrong with my hard drive.

Try taking out the hard drive and pluging it back in you should be able to delete the profile from the hard drive.

after that click on sign in and then download profile, enter your credentials and the downloaded profile shouldn't be corrupted.

if it still is after the download you might want to try downloading it to a flash drive. if it works on the flash drive then there might be something wrong with your hard drive.
