downloading games with gold online

As I have got rid of my 360 console i need to go on to the xbox website to download the 360 games with gold to play on my xbox one but when i get to the game on the website and click download it says that i can not do this on my account please complete this
transaction on your xbox 360 anyone know how to fix this

Newbie help on Xbox

Buy Gold from CDkeys and download this months games with gold including Forza Horizon. Also download the Forza Horizon Demo.
You need gold to play online same as PS+.
Buy EA Access for £20 and you get access to 25 Games which include great games like Titanfall, Battlefield and Plants vs Zombies.

For about £50 you can get access to nearly 30 games to start you off and get an idea on what games take your fancy.

 

Online play

you need a GOLD account to play online with your 360 you currently have SILVER which is good for downloading demos and stuff but you need GOLD to play online multiplayer.

I have this same issue as well with my son's account trying to redeem games from the xbox.com website. I couldn't do it with Dirt 3, couldn't do it with Dungeon Siege 3 and now I can't do it with Castlestorm Knights vs Vikings.

I spent a Saturday calling Microsoft tech support on the phone to no avail. There phone system likes to disconnect you and their representatives are completely clueless about how the xbox 360 redemption process works for xbox one owners who do not have
an x360 console.

Plus my son's account is a child account so I am sure it is due to some sort of imposed child restriction but Microsoft's reps have no clue about that either.

The incompetence I get is try from anX360 console. Again, I do not have one.

I do not know how to get the big faceless corporation Microsoft to comprehend what they are being asked.

They probably have a tier 1 help desk reading from a script that doesn't know how to use the product they are supporting.

Prove me wrong.

Have you each verified that your payment methods are up-to-date? It is one of the first things to check! Even though they are "Free Games with Gold", you will need to have a valid and active payment method secured on the account you are trying to download
the games to.

same issue , not able to redeem Xbox 360 DLC's-- Tomclancy's Losvegas and Losvegas2 in Xbox one..

The Microsoft tech support is the worst support i have seen and experienced till date..

 

I spent over an hour with tech support and even went so far as to add another credit card to try to fix the problem. Nothing we tried work. Their suggestion to me as well was to find a friend and use their xbox 360 to download it. I'm an older guy and I
don't know anyone with an xbox 360. I sure hope they working on a fix for this as it is obviously a coding bug. Sucks to miss out on games while they are doing it though.
