Downloading games with gold games for xbox 360

Every free game I have downloaded through games with gold games through Xbox Live, I am having problems as they freeze up or I get a message saying that the disc needs cleaning but the games was downloaded. I have deleted the games and tried to redownload
but I get the same problem each time. I have also deleted the cache folder and reset the xbox 360 and retried to download the games again and I still get the same problems.

Sorry I forgot. I THINK if you have Gold that was purchased with a code and no CC card linked that may be an issue.

And even though its free you must still be allowed to actually BUY it, even though its free.

Make sure your Gold Account is not in its trial period. You need to have an up to date PAID gold account.

Sorry about the trouble you're having with starting games! What type of storage device are you using? Do you possibly have a different external storage option you can test downloading a game to, to see if there's any change?

Hi, Xbox 360 games do not require an active Gold account to play. So, if your Gold subscription expires you will still be able to download Xbox 360 games that you have previously downloaded.

I can download Xbox one games with "Games with Gold" but i can't download 360 Game.

Game Pass and Gold both require active subs to use the games you download through them. The exception is the Xbox 360 games downloaded with Games with Gold are yours forever.

It's because of the trial. Xbox One games require that you keep a gold subscription in order to keep playing the games for free, but 360 games do not. So you need a full gold subscription in order to download the games with gold for the 360.
