    Downloading Games On New Xbox


    My brothers and I used to share 1 Xbox One with our own accounts. For my birthday I got a Xbox One S. I am now trying to download my old digital games into my new Xbox One S but they aren't appearing. I try to download a game but I have to buy it again.
    I already tried making my Xbox Live account my home xbox but I still don't get my games.

    So today I'm downloading ES5 from the Xbox store on the xbox so it started downloading and the image and the name of the game hasnt come up and its downloading on to APPS instead of Games however I click on the store and it comes up with ES5 downloading
    at the same percent I'm new to buying digital please help!

    Sonic Generations is giving the disc unreadable error... Its a downloaded game

    It's 7.21 G's. Just for the heck of it I tried downloading the game on a newer xbox I had access to, and it works. My xbox 360 is the first model they came out with and it was working perfectly before the newest update came out. I've tried everything, deleting
    all the game data, clearing the cache, downloading it again and none of that works. But on a new xbox it works perfectly fine.

    That means that another account was the one that bought the games and you would need to sign in with that account and download the games and if you want to play them you would have to make the new xbox that accounts home xbox.

    Is the xbox rather new, you may require to download an xbox update before game downloading can begin.

    Absolutely. Just add your account to the new Xbox One S, download the game and start it up! The game save data is stored in the cloud so any prior progress in most games will download right to the new system!

    Ordered from Microsoft. Contacted Microsoft. Evidently getting the content requires a Gold subscription. The box is supposed to come with a free one month subscription. No such code in the box, or in an email, etc.

    Called support, support was pretty much worthless. She was nice, but couldn't help and wouldn't get off her script for nothing. She transferred me to Xbox One Support. The voice system wouldn't recognize my voice commands or input from the keypad. Infinite
    loop "Say Xbox One or press 1 for Xbox one, say 360 for Xbox 360". Spam 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1, nada. Make sure the phone isn't on mute, not on mute. "Xbox one, Xbox one, Xbox one, Xbox one, Xbox one, Xbox one". Press 1. Not recognized. Spam
    1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1. Nothing.

    Hang up. Great system there Microsoft.

    It depends on the developer. If they say no digital formats for a specified period of time then there's nothing anyone can do about it.
