    Hi,

    Can someone confirm for sure when downloading games from Microsoft Xbox live online store to my hard drive, do I STILL need a physical copy of the game before I can start playing?

    I am only asking because I don't have the drive capacity for the games I have bought online so far, and the FAQ isn't reassuring for sure that I can.

    Have you tried just downloading the game from the Microsoft store app? Even from the Xbox app it is gonna take you to the store.

    If you're downloading a digital game, you don't need a disc. You would only need the disc if you actually purchased the game on disc.

    Microsoft store compatibility with Steam

    If you download a game from Microsoft Store, I Believe it dose not go into steam. If you download a game from steam, it goes into steam. If you download a game from Microsoft Store, a shortcut will be created, or you can pin the game to task bar.
