Downloading games from Game Pass through the microsoft store.

Follow these steps, if one doesn't work, skip to the next.

1. Open Windows Update and look for updates, update everything, including optional updates. Restart to apply updates and try again.

2. Press Windows Key + i and go to apps, search for ''gaming services'' click ''advanced options'' and then ''terminate, repair and reset. Try installing the game again.

3. Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter

“get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”

Restart your PC, open PowerShell as admin again, and enter

“start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”

The Microsoft Store will open and ask to install Gaming Services, install. Then try installing any game again.

Where did you exactly download or install the Minecraft Launcher? From the Minecraft website or through the Microsoft Store?

Be sure to sign in your correct account through the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store.

If you've acquired your Minecraft game license through Game Pass, please confirm if you got the Game Pass for PC and not the Game Pass for Console via https://account.microsoft.com/services.

If you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription you should be able to download Ark from the Microsoft store for free. You will need to re download through the Microsoft Store in order to play, because you will be on Microsoft's Services and not Steam's.

Thanks for the update. What is telling you to download games through the Xbox app and not the Microsoft Store? Any game on Game Pass can be downloaded through the Microsoft Store since it recognizes your subscription.

When you want a game from the game pass for PC, you need to go through the game pass for PC or the Microsoft store to download the games. They will not download from the app or console companion. Here is the
