Downloading Doom - Painfully, painfully slow

I pre-ordered and pre-downloaded Doom when it became available. So this morning I thought I'd fire it up for a quick game before work. Unfortunately all it did was tell me I had a 47GB mandatory patch to download. Not a problem, I've got nice fast broadband,
so I just left it running and went to work.

Eight hours later... it had only got to around 10%. Checked my broadband speed and that was fine (200Mb/s). Rebooted the Xbox One, no improvement. I figured there are sometimes problems with pre-orders and the bonus demon pack wasn't showing, so I cancelled
the download, uninstalled it, then went to re-install it all from scratch. The bonus pack is now showing, but it's still so painfully slow.

Anything I can do about this? At this rate I'll be lucky to play it this weekend.

Playable at %?

Hi all,

I'm downloading the game on a painfully slow internet connection. Any idea what % installed this game is playable at (campaign only)?

is it a bug assasin creed 2 is listed as free on my dashboard?

It's free, seems like they released it a day early. I'm downloading it on my xbox right now. Although, the download speed is painfully slow.

Strange thing, I sugest you to try download in another place just to be sure it's a content issue, not related to your ISP

The download speed shown is in Megabits which means your actual speed is 3.6mb/s-5.6mb/s. Gears of war ultimate edition is roughly 44.42GB. Have you been downloading anything else while downloading the game because depending on your internet data plan with
your ISP downloading on one device can lower the download speed on another.

Even buying a different console will not change anything because if your download speed is low to begin with there's not much you can do

It's best to post this in the networking forums instead, there might be some tweaking you can do on your router to improve download speeds.

So I got an update for Call of Duty and it was likely the one everyone got days ago, but I just so happened to start my update today. Downloading the update took maybe 5-10 minutes as my download speed is great, but after attempting to install what it claimed
to be a 700mb update, it got to 98% and just stuck there. I was impatient and canceled the installation at some point. I attempt to install again, but this time it tells me it's a 1128mb update and it gets stuck at 0%. I thought something was wrong, but after
messing around with it for a bit I decided to just leave it. After about 5 hours, it finally reaches about halfway to the point where I could play the game that I intended to play 5 hours ago. I didn't feel like playing it at that point, but I kept an eye
on the installation. It took a solid 7+ hours to install whatever update that was from start to finish. As someone who PC games a lot, it should NEVER take that long to install.
