    Downloading content and then transferring to another console


    So I purchased TESO with this gamer tag. However it is one of my family gamer tags that is linked to my account and that plays the game. The person using this family gamer tag wants to purchase a new xbox 1 and play the downloaded game on his new xbox 1.
    However I can not give him my account. Could he download the game onto his xbox 1 if he moves the family sub account onto the new xbox 1 or does it need to be my account. I cant give it to him because it has all my info on it, however I know I wont play the
    game so if it is possible to get the game onto his xbox 1 instead of mine without having to purchase it again that would be great.

    Downloading the content on another user's console, then transferring it over to your own.

    It may or may not work though, and permissions for content has always been a hassle to me.

    So if you do do the above method, you can only access the content when you are signed in to LIVE

    My DLC will not work.

    I suggest deleting all the content, license transferring then re-downloading all your content.

    - Problem Solved Downloading content and then transferring to another console :D

    Other profiles not able to play downloaded full games on same console

    To let someone else use the content license, you must download your Xbox Live profile to their Xbox 360 console. Then, transfer your content licenses to that Xbox 360 console.

    After you transfer your content, other profiles can use the content on that console.

    Actually you can genious pay attention to the last line:

    No. Content licenses are stored in the Xbox 360 console rather than in the Xbox LIVE account.

    To enable someone else's Xbox LIVE account to use your content licenses, you must download your Xbox LIVE profile and then transfer your content licenses to that person's Xbox 360 console.

    •To download your Xbox LIVE profile to a different Xbox 360 console, see Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile.

    •To transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another, see Can I transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another?

    After you've downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile and transferred your content licenses to another Xbox 360 console, the content can be used by all the profiles on that console.

    The license transfer tool does not transfer content between accounts but rather to new consoles. No content can be transferred from one account to another. As long as content is on the console that it was originally downloaded to, it can be used by all
    accounts on that console (with a small number of exceptions).

    To add to the advice above, here is how to transfer the Content License from one Xbox to another:



    Can I transfer a content licence from one Xbox 360 console to another?



    Yes, you can transfer content licences from one console to another once every four months.

    If your console was recently repaired or if you’ve purchased a new console, use the licence transfer option on your console to transfer content licences. Here’s how:



    1.On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.

    2.Go to Settings and select Account.

    3.Go to Your Billing Options and select Licence Transfer.

    4.Follow the instructions to transfer the content licences.



    After the licences have been transferred, you need to download the content again to update the local licences. Then the content can be used by other profiles on your console and when you’re not connected to Xbox LIVE.
