Downloading any games issue

Right so for the past number of days I've tried to download alot of my old games on my Xbox 360 as my friends have been getting into them so I thought why not. Every download that I do fails, what do I mean by that you ask? Well for the first 79% of the
download it all runs smoothly. The second it hits 80% it tells me that game can't be downloaded, so I go over to my system settings and into my HDD and it shows the game is corrupted. This has happened with gears of war 3, black ops 2 and a few others that
I can't think of off the top of my head. Also if it helps I've run a multitude of connection tests for Xbox and they've all shown a service error. But when I go check the server status, there are no issues. I've also used my siblings account in an attempt
to download games, same problem. So it's either the games, the accounts or my HDD. And wiping my HDD, I will only consider as an absolute last resort.

Yes, I've never had this issue ever before.

I did so when I had the 360 no WiFi, and with the Ethernet cable I did not arrive, I used the laptop PC and I used the laptop as a WiFi connection sharing the network.. If not go buy the cable directly.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with downloading games.

The next option is to try a direct modem connection. Unfortunately, To do this, plug one end of a network cable into the back of the console and the other end directly into your modem. Then try downloading the content again.

If you are not able to try an ethernet cable, please try using a different network if possible.

Hey there Curtis!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with these issue trying to install your games.

Usually, these kind of issues are due to an update not being applied into your console correctly or it having been interrupted while it was underway.

That being the case, I would suggest rolling back your console updates as outlined in Solution 7 of our support page entitled

Troubleshoot problems with an update to your Xbox 360 console and see if that helps resolve the problem.

When and if you get a chance, give that page a look through, those steps a try, and let us know how that helped.

All of these have been attempted and failed except for number 5 which I can't do due to not having a Ethernet cable that long enough to stretch across the entire length of my house.
