Downloading and installing Minecraft Java on a pc.

If you're on xbox: Go to the microsoft store and lookup minecraft, click the download button and wait for it to install.
If you're on PC: Go to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-bedrock-edition-pc and login to your account, then click the download link and open the file and follow the instructions.

Hi, this can be a bit odd but can you and your fríend reinstall minecraft Java edition on their PCs?

You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

To play both Java and Bedrock editions on your PC:

1. Install Minecraft Launcher: Download it from the official site.
   
2. Sign In: Use your Microsoft account.
   
3. Select Version: Choose Java or Bedrock from the left side of the launcher.
   
4. Download and Play: Install and play the selected version.
