Downloading a game on Xbox Live

I have been trying to download Madden 15' on my console and I have been stuck on 9% for the past 5 hours. It reached 9% within the first 45 minutes but since it has constantly "queued" & lost internet connection. I have manually entered the IP address,
used public dns servers and the connection shows 3 out of 4 bars. Is there any advice as to what might be the problem?

Im having same problem purchased x box with madden download im at 8 % after 3 hours at this rate I may have the game by the time madden 16 comes out what a joke

Let us know if you're still unable to download games on your Xbox 360!

You need to play the game while connected to Xbox Live, it will then download a patch which will allow you to play the game. After downloading this patch you can disconnect from Xbox Live and you will still be able to play.
