Downloaded games won’t play

I have an xbox one x. When i download a game that is free on xbox gold it will not play when i try to launch it. I get an initial box that says this may take some time to download, and this then quickly flicks to an error that says that there is not enough
storage to install this game so clear some space, (error 0x80073cf3). The games at this point ARE fully downloaded, and i still have 600gb of space left on my hard disk. This is not specific to one game. I have deleted and re downloaded. I have done all of
the on/off and hard reset tricks. I have reset persistent storage in the blu ray setting. Can anyone please help with because to be really honest, this is my first xbox and it is not living up to the most all singing and all dancing console ever.

Ghost recon Wildlands

game downloaded but it won’t play. Goes through the intro and then just goes to a black screen and won’t go further. Tried the power off. Tried the eject and power button. Tried the clearing out storage. Disk works on and other Xbox., so it’s not the disk.
Out of ideas, can anyone help?

I downloaded NBA 2k18 but it needed an update in order to actually play, so I updated and now it won’t go past 280.32 MB out of 5.22 GB, and gives me “Error 0x87e00005” and makes it impossible to play, I have tried going on and offline and turned off the
console but it won’t work, even after waiting to have the game installed

I understand you're having issues with being able to play games that you've downloaded. You get an error message telling you that there is not enough disc space? Are you using an external hard drive or just the internal storage that the console comes with?
If the problem is affecting every single game you may want to consider restoring the console to factory defaults.How to reset your
console to factory defaults on Xbox One. Just keep in mind once you do any of the restoring to factory defaults you will need to have you Microsoft Account Email and Password to recover your profile but all owned content, game progress, and stats will
return as long as you are connected to the internet.

I am using the internal hard disk. It is not every game. If i reset to factory defaults do i have to download all my games and content again?

When the reset is selected it will give 3 options Reset and remove everything, Reset and keep my games & apps, and cancel. As suggested by fellow
XBF George L, do a
Soft Factory Reset (Keep Games and Apps) as it will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.
