Downloaded Games not working

I bought an Xbox One X last week and do the game share with my lad, who also has a XBox One X.

I have had no issues until about 16:00 gmt today.

Since then the downloaded games will not work.

if i try to load any of these it shows the first main page and then goes sraight back to desktop.

It is perfectly fine if I play a disc game though.

I have trued the usual of hard reset but it is still doing the same.

Can anybody help??

my grand theft auto just wont download it says it is and when it gets to 100% it starts again at a rondom percentage

Hi Dez!

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about the issue. I would recommend to do a

Soft Factory Reset. This will reset your Xbox but keeping
your games and apps. Afterwards check to see if it resolved the downloading problem

Side Note:
It is very
important to make sure you have a secure network connection and know the primary email/password to the account before resetting the Xbox.

Keep in mind that the factory reset will remove accounts and Home Xbox settings. Be sure you do add back your own account only. Any friends that might have signed onto your console will have to add their profiles back the next time they visit, as the Xbox
Live Code of Conduct prohibits users from exchanging account details and from signing into accounts they do not own.

Thanks for the reply.

I have done a soft reset and got my lad to come down and set up the sharing again.

When trying to start the 2 downloaded games I have installed, it told me the games were corrupt and needed reinstalling.

Hopefully this will sort it...

My lad is 18 and lives and home with me and his mum so it was quite simple to get him to add in his details. Plus he is far quicker at using the controller key board

It happened to me the same, but I have the 4GB version of XBOX , so I bought something that I cannot use ??? I did not get the warn ??? how is that possible ???

Did you preorder it?

If yes. let me explain the preorders.

When a preorder is done with a credit/debit card the card is not charged till approximately 10 days prior to the game being released. It will allow you to download the game so that you are ready to play it when the game is released and you do not have to
wait for the game to download once its released. But if for some reason when MS tries to take the money off the card and the 10 days prior to release mark and they cant they will cancel your order and take the license away from your account. (the game will
still be downloaded to your console) but when you try and play it because the license was taken away from your account you will get the message that you are seeing.

Now you say that it is NOT in your order history even if you preordered it and it was cancelled it will show in your order history as being cancelled. If it is not in your order history for the account that you are signed into then it was never bought on
that account and you would need to figure out what account it was bought on and sign into that one on your console to play the game.

We are sorry this issue is still persisting, at this time we suggest firstly to check out the

Order History on the Microsoft account to make sure the licensing isn't the issue here. Now if all checks out on that end we would then suggest

Removing and Re-adding the account from the console to clear up any issues that might be arising on it. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes so we can further assist in this or any other issue or inquiry!!

Sorry to hear about the game, let's try to get you back on that Prestige grind! We suggest you try

uninstalling the game and redownloading it by doing the following:

From Home, select My games & apps, and then select
See all.
When you’ve highlighted something to uninstall, press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage game & add-ons, then Uninstall all.
