Downloaded Games Don't launch

Hello everyone, today im having some issues... a couple of my games including saints row 2, and GTA San Andreas, are not loading up when I Press A on them, instead I get a Message "Cant launch (game name)". These games were working a couple weeks ago and
I didn't do anything recently that I can see would cause this type of problem. Help would be Much appreciated.

Games recently downloaded don't work

I bought UFC 3 that was on sale, I downloaded it, and every time I try and play it boots me back out saying that it's taking too long to start, please resares and try again. Same thing with my NBA 2k18, it says I don't own that title any more, I followed
all the steps but it just doesn't work. Any way to help?

Hi!

As CrazY suggested, perform a power cycle. If it does not work, some data may be corrupted, so try deleting your profile from the console and re-download it again.

You might have to download these games again. just delete the main game file so you don't lose any of your progress in these games. It happened to me once. Should fix the issue

Yeah, I think Sony also allows for pre-downloading certain games, though I don't know how that would work for the launch games, so hopefully we get that later, don't care about the launch titles.

By the error message, looks like the gaming services app is having issues to launch. Please try to reinstall it:

- Go to Start > Search for PowerShell > Right Click > Run as Administrator.

- In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- Restart your computer. Open PowerShell again and run the command below:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

- Go to Start > Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking > See if your connection test is ok. You should aim for open NAT and connected to server. If you receive any error message, please let me know.

Try to run your games again and let me know how it goes.

Apparently, it was something to do with "Windows gaming" preview program from Xbox insider hub. I opted out of it, then reinstalled windows services. Worked fine since then

Upd: gaming service version changed from 4.66.9001.0 to 4.66.2001.0. Maybe newer version is bugged

i think you can download the game on launch day but i don't know if you can in midnight

Yep but my problem is that if I don't sit there for the whole 19hrs the network drops out and the whole thing grinds to a halt. Never mind it was only a thought. One other thing I don't get it that on pre-order you download the game but it says "you can't
play yet" but then when the launch date comes it seems to download the whole game again? Is that because of last minute patches or something?? If this didn't happen then I could download the game in advance and play it when it launches.

Well that stinks. The instant on setting doesn't work? It downloads the game on the off hours when you're sleeping. A great feature.

With my experience with pre-ordered downloaded games is that it downloads 99% of the game and leaves the last few bits until 12:00 AM launch day and then any day 1 patches.
