    Downloaded game can't start, requires installation


    Yesterday I bought game "Saints Row IV: Re-Elected - Xbox One Digital Code" on Amazon.

    Redeemed code. Downloaded it from store.

    But when I try to run it, console send me to store for trying install it again.

    I press Install, take a few second for downloading, and button Install shows again.
    Deleting game and downloading - has no changes.

    i didn't know either so dont feel lost...

    i just know when i downloaded it i started it up with no re direct or saying i needed an update...

    this may be different with the disk as it would have been written pre the change... which would require a patch after install.

    i think with the xblive/download it would be packaged in with the install. which may be the case.. i cant recall a time with 360 free games i had to install/download a game than get updates and such... but idk really.

    So I unistalled fallout 4 beacuse it wasent working

    save data is also in the cloud and will be downloaded when you start the game for the first time after installation.

    Disc or Digital Games, Which Downloads Faster

    Disc is faster.

    Disconnect from the internet, install the disc, then connect and start it. You'll be prompted to download any patches.

    Digital requires you to download the entire game before you install patches so it takes longer.

    Error 0x80070070 is a error code regarding storage space, it's not a glitch or a bug. It may seem logical to you that if a game requires 140GB and you have 230GB that it should install, but that's not how the install process in Windows 10 works.

    Windows games need to be installed as well as downloaded. The install actually requires extra storage to decompress the downloaded files. The downloaded files are removed during the install process, but it can't begin an install if there isn't enough storage space on the target drive. This is why support have advised you to get a larger drive.
