Downloaded an update but the game's size remained the same

As the title states, I downloaded an update a couple of hours ago. The game is Worms W.M.D

The game size is around 6GB but I downloaded an update of 5GB, so I expected the game's size to increase up to 11GB. But it didn't, first I thought it was a Xbox mistake of showing the game's size so I opened the game to see what's new but nothing has change
since the last update (It came up a few months ago if I am not mistaken)

It's like I haven't downloaded anything but on my Total, Xbox already took 5GB

So I was wondering where are those 5GB I just downloaded ? How am I suppose to delete them if they aren't showing anywhere? (I assume deleting the game won't work because it's size hasn't change)

Any suggestions ? Does this happened to you before?

Hi there,

As it has been a while since you downloaded the game, I would cancel the existing installation, and restart it via the Store link. There may have been several game updates, that have increased the game's install size.

I downloaded the preview update but the dash looks the same

Hi, that's usually what happens when you download an update. Most of the time updates install over the files that need updating. It's not like the xbox 360 where an update is installed and adds to the file size. With Xbox One games, updates are installed
over files that are needed to be updated. hence why the file size has not changed.

The great thing about updates on the XBox One is that some files are overwritten with the updated version, meaning it doesn't chew up as much storage space. Great when you consider just how big some of these games are these days!
