    Downloaded a PC game on my Xbox One?


    My friend sent me a gift code to buy the Master Chief collection, but when I tried to download it, it only worked through the xbox app. Once it finally worked, I try to open it and get the "Do you own this game?" error code. Come to find out that somehow I downloaded the game for PC. Microsoft support said the only way to fix it is to buy Game Pass, but I don't want to spend any extra money. Is there any way to get the game to work?

    I would like to clarify, you have purchased the incorrect game license for the HALO Masterchief collection, is that correct? If yes, and you purchased the game directly on your account you can try requesting a refund by signing in to https://xbox.com/refunds.

    I'm sorry for that but if this is a game code a refund is not possible as my first solution, sorry for that.

    Also, the game license on PC and Xbox is different and if we will play it on Xbox we may need to purchase the game license on Xbox as well.
