    Hi Guys

    Basically I just bought an xbox 360 from a friend and want to download my old gamertag. You need to be connected to live to do so, so ive bought an xbox live code however I've realised that I can only apply this code to an account already on there but I want
    it on my old gamertag.

    Does anyone know how I can download my gamer tag before I download xbox live? I dont have access to it so cant get it on a memory stick or anything.

    Xbox One Gamesharing specific question

    We have 3 xbox ones and 3 gamertags.

    If Console A belongs to Gamertag A, and likewise with B and C

    We buy a game with Console/Gamertag A

    Console/Gamertag B sets Console A as its home console and downloads that game.

    *Here's the question*

    Can Console/Gamertag B then switch its home console to Console C and still be able to play the game downloaded from Console/Gamertag A.

    Borderlands 2 DLC cheat?

    It does in fact work. In case anyone was wondering. My girlfriend and I tested it out. We bout the DLC with my gamertag on her xbox and then I got on my xbox and downloaded it again there, and then we were both able to play the DLC without her having to buy it with her gamertag.

    Hi

    Providing your old gamertag/profile was created on Xbox live then you will only need to sign in on the console with your account details. You don't need to enter an Xbox Live Gold code to download your profile onto the console.

    Hey, that sounds weird. When you download DLC, any gamertag can play it as long as it's on the console that orginally downloaded it.

    -

    Also the gamertag that bought the content can download it on another xbox, but no other gamertag will be able use it unless the gamertag that bought it is log on at the time and is connected to the internet.

    -

    So if you have two different xbox's make sure he's using the one that originally downloaded the content if he wants to use it.

    License transfer rules.

    If he only plays a couple hours a month then have him download his gamertag to your Xbox or vice versa. That way, once redownloaded, he can access your content as any gamertag on the Xbox with the Gamertag that downloaded the content can access it.

    The map packs are linked to both the gamertag and the xbox that they were first downloaded to. If you are on another xbox (even if you've downloaded the packs to the new xbox) they will not be available to other gamertags until that tag that originally
    downloaded them does a license transfer to that xbox.

    Fault with xbox gold allocating games to >1 user on the xbox...?

    Download 'Smartglass for Xbox One' on ios/android, sign in and download for each Gamertag, alternatively....delete the game and re-download it on each Gamertag.

    Having said that, if you are the only one with Gold, you can't. The Gold is only 'shared' on the console, not given to each Gamertag as a gift.
