    we have succesfully downloaded other games in the past

    Try to clear the system cache by holding the power button for 10 secs and try to download the game again.

    I got the same problem. I ended up going for one achievement at a time, then starting a new game for the next achievement.

    I won't be playing that game again.

    When resetting your xbox you won't loose any of your downloaded games which are on your console, if you do end up loosing a game or uninstalling it you would be able to download it again for free.

    Downloaded the Gears 5 with the Ultimate Pass. But appears as its still downloading.

    If the download is ended and it's still not working, delete and start again...

    I had the same issue a few months ago. I ended up having to do a full format on the HDD for it to start working again on the xbox. Only issue is downloading all the games again. But not too bad if you set them to download overnight.
