Download while installing?

So I just bought NBA Live 15 for my Xbox One. I want to play the game and when I put the game in my Xbox it tells me its installing. When it hit 7% it told me I have to download a 3.5 GB update. How can I have it install the update without having my
Xbox on?

Do games download faster while in standby?

Quick question. I'm downloading Halo 5 on to my xbox one. Will keeping my Xbox in standby mode speed up the download faster or does it not really matter?

So the best thing to do with a disk game is to download the game offline then install the update. Go to settings, network, and go offline. Once the download finishes, go back online for it to install the update.

if you want your games to update while the console is off you need to put it in "Instant On" mode.

When I try to do that with Madden 15 it keeps asking me to go online. So should I uninstall what is installed then try it again offline?

Yeah try uninstalling it, then go to the network settings and disconnect wireless (Or just unplug the ethernet cable if it's a wired connection). Install the game fully from the disc, then reconnect to the network again. Most discs install quicker if they're
not trying to download the updates at the same time.

Like bowski477 said, put the console into "Instant-on" mode to install updates while it's in sleep mode. look under the Power & Startup section of the settings app to check if this mode is on. Also, make sure that the "When Xbox is off, turn off storage"
is not selected, as this may interfere with it's ability to install anything when the console is not actually on and being used.

You can't play a disc game while installing another disc game

But you can play a disc game while another is downloading, play a download while installing a disc or play a download while installing another download.

There is a lot of info. Install them while offline to see if they download faster.
