download stops on 100 procent on external SSD

I can see that you're experiencing issues with downloading games on your external SSD. One possible solution is to try resetting the Xbox app. To do this, you can follow these steps:



1. Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps.

3. Scroll down and find the Xbox app.

4. Click on the Xbox app and select Advanced options.

5. Scroll down and click on Reset.

After resetting the Xbox app, try downloading the game again and see if the issue persists. If it does, you may want to try disconnecting and reconnecting the external SSD or checking if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or your external SSD's drivers.

I've experienced this before. What you can do is stop the install, and then restart your console, and then try and re-download. If you are trying to install on an external HDD/SSD, turn your console off and unplug any storage.

My friends and I all have the same problem. Three of us have a 2tb external ssd and when the last system update hot they all stopped working. We can launch games that are saved on them but cannot download new or update existing games.

I just tested downloading it onto an external hard drive, and the Series X won't let it be played through a SSD
