Hey, I used to have a basic xbox one, download/install speed was between 60/80mb/s. I recently bought an Xbox one S and my speeds have dropped to between 5-13 mb/s

im on a BT hub 4 if that helps, tried doing all the port forwards and hard resets but nothing seems to be bringing me back to my normal speeds.

    :)

I think I will take it back and get a new one to see if I have the same problem, ive gone offline and back on a number of times with no change, so would have to assume its a console issue.

thanks for all the replies and suggestions tho.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's all models of the S and X. My day 1 downloads much quicker than the X.

Hey Danny thanks for keeping in touch.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help. Before we go any further with troubleshooting we suggest a reset of the console since the
actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
    Soft
    Factory Reset
    (while keeping games and apps)
IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Also make sure there are no External Hard Drives connected to the console. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

Try performing the hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console. While the console is off unplug your router/modem for a couple of minutes too.

    Hi Danny,

Sorry for the issue with download speed. This is very odd as personally I own all three consoles of Xbox one and see no difference in my speeds. Just a test to see, but can you try a different ethernet cable? Also try a different port on your gateway/router.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Brad

detailed network statistics as mentioned above a number of times.

I only get these low speeds on the S which I bought today. If I switch back to my older xbox one and run a test its around 70mbps download, I can then quickly switch consoles and run another test right after on the S and it will be back to 13.
