Download speeds are f.....g awful

HI!

First of all I am enormously disappointed with the ''hardware advancement in Xbox one''!!

My God help me before I will smash this pace of .... to even smaller bits..aaaaawww

I am still happy Xbox 360 user, that for as long as I remember had never, ever had any issues with my old 360 rig.

And Today ....

I finally received my brand new Xbox One console with Sunset Overdrive copy.

Wait, that's not that. Let me start with the fact that were are all those demos?!!!

OMG one year on the market and I can count the amount of available game demoes with my one hand!

WTF!!! one demo FM Horizon 2 takes like for EVER to download. The only one there is that I can get!!

Let me add here that I have 60Mb / 10Mb Down/upload speeds wirelessly!

I was hoping that at least Sunset Overdrive will go faster, surprise here, not, IT DOSENT!

Its even slower! Can somebody explain to me please were is this superior hardware advancement, this multitasking capable machine !

My Lumia 1320 can download faster through two stone walls then XO 2m away from my modem!!

I have never felt so cheated in my live like I am today! Not even when my ex left me !

Bill , get back on the chair and cut some head down please. I loved my first original Xbox, Xbox 360 and the first day with XO is soooo...

Give me strength Lord to overcome those issues peacefully...!

game download speed is awful

I wish you all would update the XBox Live status page that says everything is "normal". 2-3mbpsis not normal, especially when I'm getting 50mbps on my computer and even in the Detailed Network Statistics screen the console is registering 36mbps. I want
to believe it's slow because it's Christmas and every kid in the country is on their xbox right now... I really hope this isn't "normal"... just got an Xbox One S for Christmas... I already hate the disorganized cluster that is the menu system and now I'm
just sitting here watching a download that won't finish for the past 4 hours. ugh.

xbox delivers content through AKAMAI Servers. The near the AKAMAI Server is the faster download you will get.

Your DNS Server decides on which AKAMAI Server you connect.

The best would be if you use a DNS Server of your country. But some ISP DNS Servers are very bad configured. So what you can try is:

Change your DNS Settings in Network Settings of your xbox to open DNS. Or Google DNS.

Open DNS: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

www.opendns.com/.../opendns-ip-addresses

Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

developers.google.com/.../public-dns

If you have enough time and a PC you can test a tool (namebench) this will show you which is the best DNS Server you can us.

Since I use open DNS - my xbox Dashboard is much faster and also my downloads are better.

The only Problem is Installing the games take long time. You can decreas this if you buy an external faster HDD or SSD for your USB3 Port - this way you can install the games much faster and they also load faster

I have checked in-between the download speed via XO UI and the download speed were the maximum. So I figure out that it had to be upload server lag..

I did manage to survive for 4 h till it was done.

Can you install all game on external HDD?
