    Download speed


    Just recently my download speed took a giant [Mod Removed- Inappropriate] It will dip as low as 500 kB/s and the average high is now around 32 Mb/s. In the past download speeds ranged from 70 Mb/s to 115 Mb/s. Performing a speed test
    results in speeds from 140 Mb/s to 157 Mb/s. Nothing has changed other than the xbox downloading speed. I'm not rooms away from our router. It's on the next shelf over. There's nothing new, metal, or otherwise causing interference. Nothing else running
    on the web. Xbox network stats have a download speed of 37 Mb/s, wireless strength 100%. Xbox network connection is good, "but there are some Xbox service issues". Xbox live problem? A quick search of xbox.com/status shows a limited service for party chat.
    Any ideas? I'd really like to find a solution to this problem. Thanks for any help.

    Download Speeds does take certain factors including your internet download speed as well as when you are downloading it. If alot of people are downloading the update at the same time it will hinder the speed of download.

    Hey, unfortunately, the speed from your ISP is often times higher than the download speed for downloading games on Xbox, and there's only so much you can do about it. When you download games it's very likely that the server from which the file is downloaded
    fluctuates and changes location, which would result in slower download speeds. Also, download speeds are in large part dependent on the speed of Microsoft's severs, and depending on how many people are downloading from their servers at once, the speed could
    be very slow due to the load on the server. Again, there's not much you can do aside from increasing the speed of your ISP.
