Download speed slow XB1

When I do a speed test it says i have 112MBs download speed bt my game is downloading and hasn’t gotten better than 2MBs.

My roommate was also downloading the same update and was connected to the same internet, but his went way faster.

I restarted the xbox and router and even went to a wired connection but nothing has helped.

Its like a traffic jam it always was. Due to the huge amount of internet traffic there will be times where speed is challenged based on various factors. Just make sure that your router is getting you the speeds it needs. If a group of individuals are using
the same network that could be a reason. GAMES and servers can be an issue also. But most likely it will pass .

Sorry for the inconvenience. But as Brad said, Xbox servers may be much slower than usual with everything going on at the moment. Using an ethernet cable would also help a lot.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on connection speed. With Wifi the connection will always be up and down. First we recommend connecting with an ethernet cable and test the speeds out. This will
let you know if the console gets the speeds it should. You can also try the
guide for slow download on Xbox one. Also remember during this time there area lot of people(more than usual) on the internet and using it. This could also affect speeds.

I am using a wired connection and when I did the speed tests, my download speed went up 50 Mbs but when I looked at the speed the game was actually downloading at, it was still mindbogglingly slow.
