Download speed is much slower than what it says in speed test

When I run a speed test on my Xbox one over Ethernet I get around 150-170 Mbps but when I download a game in this case the cod beta I get anywhere as low a 3 most of the time between 1 and 30 sometimes I have gotten between 80 and 90 but that didn't last
for very long. I did the speed test in the settings and the one on Speedtest.net and they both said between 150 -170

How can I fix this?

Server lagging out despite my connection?

I just did a connection test and was told it was good. Here is what the connection test said.

Download 12.36Mb/s

Upload 5.06Mb/s

Ping 121 Ms

Why am I lagging out of games so often? When I test it at a location 1000+ miles away I get a much higher download speed but a slower upload speed

Need help with internet speeds

my current speed says 768k, 1.5mbps , 3mbps, downloads speeds up to 3mbps. I know thats really slow but what do i really need for xbox live what upload speed download speed do i need? is up to 10mbps download speed up to 1mbps upload speed enough? thanks

It sounds like you be experiencing some throttling. To check, what type of network hardware are you using and do you have any other devices connected to the network while using your Xbox One? Keep in mind, the 150-170 Mbps you're seeing is generally the max
output your network can do, which won't necessarily equate to constant downloads at that speed.

ADSL is an old technology and by nature is much slower than the current technology being offered today. At its best ADSL will only download at 9 Mbps (upload speeds much slower 16 to 640 Kbps) which by today's standards is considered extremely slow.

If you are using a circuit like this for anything else while you are downloading a large file the speed would also be impacted negatively. The speed of the circuit is also impacted by the distance that the user is from the central office. There are so
many factors that have to be considered that to actually think you would be getting the maximum bandwidth is doubtful.

I can't say without some significant testing that this is the reason you are not getting acceptable speeds but it is definitely a factor to be considered. I know even at 100+Mbps download speeds some of these games take a number of hours to download.

it's 21 MB but it depends on the time, meaning : when i do the speed test in the morning it reaches 19 - 20, in the evening ( after 3 pm usually ) it's slower than that ( approx 2 - 5 MB ), but if your saying that 2 MB is the MIN, what's the Max or Medium
speed for xbox live ?

Yes, for like 10s i experience a very high download speed. But after that my download speed is slower than my average download speed. And for the Size, its still the same

Hey, unfortunately, the speed from your ISP is often times higher than the download speed for downloading games on Xbox, and there's only so much you can do about it. When you download games it's very likely that the server from which the file is downloaded
fluctuates and changes location, which would result in slower download speeds. Also, download speeds are in large part dependent on the speed of Microsoft's severs, and depending on how many people are downloading from their servers at once, the speed could
be very slow due to the load on the server. Again, there's not much you can do aside from increasing the speed of your ISP.
