Download speed cut in half since downloading the Holiday update.

I'm on the Xbox One S and since I've downloaded the Holiday update about a week ago, my download speed seems to be cut in half. Before the update I always had 80 to 100/Mbps but now they're always at 40 to 50/Mbps. When I test my network stats on Xbox 360
they're still normal. Is it just something with this update? Also my console didn't automatically update, I had to go in and manually update it for the Holiday update, I don't know if that would have anything to do with it.

I don't think it matters. Microsoft obviously didn't design the xbox 360 or xbox one with download speed in mind. Been downloading for a hour an a half and only 66% complete...Been asking for an update to boost download speed since last September, when
Destiny was first released, but no that didn't happen. If Microsoft reads this, we hate waiting 3 hours to play a game. Get move on an update for quicker download speeds.

Download Speeds does take certain factors including your internet download speed as well as when you are downloading it. If alot of people are downloading the update at the same time it will hinder the speed of download.

 

Hello. It might be worth power cycling your console and networking equipment (turn off, unplug, leave for 30 seconds, reconnect, and power back on) to see if that fixes the issue for you. Once the power cycle is complete, try downloading something and let
us know if the issue persists or is gone.

 

I tried power cycling my Xbox one and it's still telling me anywhere from 30 to 50 Mbps. I'll probably give it a couple days to see if it corrects itself before power cycling my router. I'm thinking it's a bug with the Holiday update because it only started
happening right after that and the update notes says they tweaked it for better download speeds. I don't think it's my network because my download speed on 360 isn't doing it.

 

So I decided to power cycle my router when I tested my stats and was getting download speeds of 13mbps and I also power cycled my console during that time just to cover all bases and it still hasn't seemed to help. At the moment of writing this I'm getting
21mbps download speed, all other stats are normal. I also tried downloading Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (2.2GB) and got speeds in the 20 to 30 Mbps range for the majority of the download. It honestly sounds like the bug with the Xbox One S early on where everyone
was saying if you had it set to instant on your download speeds would be in the 15 to 20mbps range, but mine is set to power saving mode though. I even tried factory resetting (before power cycling my router) in hopes that it would solve it but no luck.
