    Hey everyone I have a bit of a frustrating problem. My Xbox One has a hardwired connection, static IP, a DMZ setup. I have a open NAT. I have everything setup to allow for the best connection possible. I receive speeds of 60-80mbps and higher. ISP promises
    100mbps, which is usually 80mbps but the service is extremely consistent and reliable. I couldn't have a better multiplayer experience but when I go to download big updates for games or a game itself, I would say 20gb or more, my xbox only downloads them at
    4mbps. This is extremely maddening because it takes so long. I ruled out my houses wiring by connecting the xbox straight to the router and it performed the same way, says its getting 80mbps down but only downloads at 4mbps. I can also never watch xbox videos
    in HD, they are always in 480p, the ones that are made by xbox such as to tell you what's in the new update by Larry Nelson, or someone's recorded game clips. Any help would be appreciated. I don't mean to be "that guy" but hopefully this is the correct sub

    Can you provide your download and upload speed from your ISP? I do not understand ".026."

    DSL Internet isn't the best so you shouldn't have high expectations. Though there is a new update currently in Preview that will speed up/prioritize download speeds.

    Slow system download between 75%-85%

    Whenever updating Xbox One, the download speed is normal (like 40mbps) from 0-75%, then it crawls from 75%-85% (at like 0.2mbps), then speeds again up after 85% (like 10mbps).

    I've witnessed this same behavior now on perhaps 6 updates, and during the time update download crawls, internet connection speeds from other devices are just fine (like 80mbps). It doesn't matter whether the update is 300MB or 2GB. For game downloads the
    download speed is normal and no slowdowns are seen. My connection is 100mbps fiber.

    What could be causing this? Is Xbox just flushing downloaded data from memory to disk, so is it by design, or is anyone else seeing this behavior?

    Hey, unfortunately, the speed from your ISP is often times higher than the download speed for downloading games on Xbox, and there's only so much you can do about it. When you download games it's very likely that the server from which the file is downloaded
    fluctuates and changes location, which would result in slower download speeds. Also, download speeds are in large part dependent on the speed of Microsoft's severs, and depending on how many people are downloading from their servers at once, the speed could
    be very slow due to the load on the server. Again, there's not much you can do aside from increasing the speed of your ISP.
