Download profile onto USB?

I cannot sign into my Xbox profile on my Xbox One. I know Live is having issues and is a factor. I can access my profile on my computer, so can I download it onto a USB drive and put it on my Xbox One so I can at least enjoy the games offline? This would
alleviate quite a few issues (except multiplayer games of course).

I'm buying another Xbox One

Your saves should be part of your cloud profile, when you log in they should download however if you have an external hard drive you could just move it all onto that.

I tried this just a few minutes ago and did not work, once i plugged in the new usb it says to download media content even though its just my gamer profile, kept retrying to sign in on the xbox one and finally worked, but now the issue arised that i cant
even sign on, best of luck to ya.

Greetings, cali kid! Sorry to hear you're having trouble downloading your profile. Hang in there - we're here to help!

First off, are you attempting to download your profile onto your Hard Drive? Are you receiving any error messages?

As a preliminary step can you try downloading your profile onto a USB drive formatted for Xbox:

support.xbox.com/.../usb-flash-drive ? I'd be interested to know if it downloads correctly onto the flash drive.

It could just be a problem with your Xbox, could you try downloading your profile onto another Xbox and then move it by USB? If so, this would show that your Xbox is to blame, but if you can't download it onto another console, perhaps it's the profile that
has an error.

Got it working! Noticed my profile was corrupted in the storage settings area so I moved it onto a usb stick, removed the usb, restarted the xbox and did a profile download. Now it's connecting to live no probs!

So i should take out the hard drive. plug in a usb flash drive and download my profile onto that. couple of questions...do i have to delete the profile first and what's the next step once my profile is on the usb device.
