    So, having set up a family account for our 10 year old, basically blocking, I thought everything, I was surprised to be able to download and install free stuff and also get to the payment options for non-free games/apps. What am I missing? Any help much

    Download permissions

    When you created your tag originally, did you put in your real birthdate, and does that birthdate put you at the Age of Majority for your region? For example in the U.S. the age of Majority is 18.

    -

    If the birthdate for the account is not of age, it won't matter what your account settings are.

    -

    Let us know so we can troubleshoot further.

    Okay so I'm trying to get the BF4 beta. I have everything necessary. I go in to download, and when I try to download it says this account does not have permission tO download games with that rating. I have an adult account, I have my controls turned off.
    What more do I need to do?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    There is no option or feature yet for permission with downloading game pass games but you can definitely filter the games that they can play and install through the family settings. You can set them to "3 years old" .

    Do you have any third party antivirus software installed on the computer? If so try disabling it and then try the download again.

    Make sure the game has proper permissions to launch, follow this article to enable administrative permissions: App
    Permissions - Windows 10    .
