Is it a game you'd keep or one youd sell when done? I'm trying to decide what I'll download vs buy a disc!

Seems the "times" have changed to be digital downloads. With both still available, seems to be to each owns choice.

Myself, I prefer to have the disc. I know I always have it, no chance of a "glitch" of some sort to make something happen so that it can't be installed again. Then I do like to be able to see my "collection" sitting there when it is time to pick one to play.

But thats just my way of seeing it.

  5. You can return, sell, trade, a disc but are stuck with a digital game. I personally prefer disc to digital for a handful of reasons. I also like to have a physical item to collect.

Digital 100%. Not having to drive to a lame Game Store is instant win. Being able to go to any Game without needing to swap a plastic trinket of the past. Not having more junk taking up real space. Not having to worry about lost
or broken plastic trinkets and so on.

I've been Gaming since Pong and over the decades I understand it is the Content and Experience that was most important. Storage Media comes and goes from Cart to CD to DVD and etc, it is not the delivery method in the end but
the Content itself that is important. Digital offers all of this and without the cons of the Storage Media. I don't barter or collect so I am not bothered by any illusion of "ownership".

  7. Until digital prices start matching physical media on a consistent basis then I'll stick with the latter.

It isn't as if you have to drive to a game store these days either. Pre-order online and you'll have the game through your door on release day. Current release? Most places have a next day delivery option.

I mush prefer to have a game on disc, more advantageous to myself to see a library on the shelves.

Just not into digital stuff that does not physically exist.

I prefer discs. I like to trade them in towards a new game. I usually get around 25 to 30 euro when I trade in a new game after I'm finished with it. I usually only pay €49.99 for a disc so its a good deal for me. Discs are cheaper and you can shop around
for different prices. New games here as digital downloads cost €69.99 and €74.99.

I feel like this thread topic has been discussed 374 times already.

I prefer digital now. I had roughly 200 Xbox 360 games at one point, and realized just how much clutter it was. I like the idea of pre-downloading, having my entire gaming library right there in my "Games & Apps" section, and the ease with which it takes
to go from one game to another.

As for the deals... I will say they've gotten better over the years. Hopefully that trend continues.
