    Download loop issue, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.


    Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Steam preloader, gets stuck in a loop per download file.

    It was suggested in another forum to use the Netlimiter app, to limit download speeds to 1mb/s, this would allow the files to download at a slow speed.

    I tried this and noticed the I.P's keep dropping and resetting? - I'm not an I.T guy, but that's what I think I'm seeing...

    What's been helping me slowly progress, is to download other steam games simultaneously while trying to update MSFS 2020... I have been trying to get this game to work a total of 65.7 hours now.

    Could anyone, or Microsoft share these steam files... So others can copy to local machines, to at least speed up the process download/patch process? ...Is there an explanation of why this is happening?

    Hello, Yes, it is possible to configure Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates to be downloaded to an external folder. To do this, follow these steps:

    Open the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 application.

    Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

    Select "General" in the left sidebar.

    Scroll down to the "Updates" section.

    Select the "Use a different location for updates" option.

    Select the external folder where you want the updates to be downloaded.

    Select "OK."

    Once you have completed these steps, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates will be downloaded to the external folder you selected.
