Download issue

I recently had to have my launch X1 replaced. It's been working fine up until this weekend.

I tried to download one of the free Games With Gold offering (not the pool game, the other freebie) and it says I don't have enough space in my memory. This is nowhere near true though. I not only have more than half my internal HDD free, I also have a 1TB
external drive hooked up to my X1.

I didn't honestly think much of this at first. I figured it was just a random error and I'd try to download it later. Then I tried to download a small app and it said the same thing again. As I said, this is a new unit to replace my old one I bought at launch,
so many of the core apps I'm just using for the first time on this new unit. I think I was downloading the messages app and I got the same error. (error code: 0x80070070).

Can someone tell me if I've messed something up or how I can get this fixed? I was moving a few apps to the external HDD just a day or two before it happened so this is possibly user error.

Sorry to hear it. The console may be processing updates at the moment. Can you please try power cycling it by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

 

I paiyd for the witcher 3 expanson pass bot is not starting the down load it yust handeling end it bin 2 days

I always try a standard power cycle before I approach the forums, but I should have put that in my opening post.

However, after reading your suggestion I remembered that I was once told to do a power cycle AND unplug the console for a few minutes as well. That seems to have taken care of the issue for some reason. I won't pretend to understand why that is, but results
is results so you may close this thread now. Thanks for the help.

 

Glad to hear the problem was resolved. I always recommend a simple power cycle first then move on to unplugging from there just in case.

I have tried many times but it wont install on my USB and it only installs on my internal hard drive.

 

I have figured out the solution.

First go into your Xbox one settings and go on to storage,then click on your USB then set install here by default click that then problem solved
