wow! 6 hours later!? lucky u. it would have taken 2 days for me. just like every other game I try to download. it's ridiculous

Yes I have. EA emailed me a list of ports that they wanted me to contact my isp (att) and have them verify that certain ports were open. I call and asked and they didn't even know what I was talking about they transferred my call to their support specialist
(which cost me idk how much) only to tell me that said ports were already open, he then dmz my Xbox after telling him not to since i had already done that which is why all ports were open in the first place

 

Absolutely correct man it's messed up how they are doing us. You'd think that there would be a law or something against screwing people over .

Games larger in size will take longer. Take a look at the
Troubleshoot slow game or app downloads on Xbox One page it has a table which shows estimated download times. There are also some trouble shooting steps to try for slow game or app downloads.

Please keep in mind that when using the internet for other things, like youtube, streaming movies, etc it can slow down your downloads.

I would suggest you start an idea drive over at

I really appreciate it but I've tried all that and the install times don't bother me as much as my other issues

 

According to that table and my speed from speedtest.net I should have had FH4 downloaded in less than 1 hour... yet it took 6+ cause it bounced from 100 to a complete stop at times

I can download at the full 200mbps when downloading games through steam.

 

It seems that the download speed is locked on the Xbox's.

Regardless of what my internet speed is the download speed never changes.

 

What do you mean by "when i download games through steam"? From steam onto your xbox? Or your computer?

 

I've been downloading warface for almost an hour now. I'm at 670 MB of 8.98 GB doing 10-12.9 Mb/s

 

I download my games very fast and I dowbkoad the games with the 4k option when they have it on my xbox one x so maybe your connection is in play I have 500mbps downloads on my house router...

 

wow! I can't even imagine how great gaming would be like that

my speed are nowhere near that fast however I am within minimum required speeds to not be experiencing the issues I'm dealing with and I'm on an xbox one s

 

Where are you located? im sure theres a handful of different servers... good chance youre on an entirely different server, either that or the servers cannot manage bandwidth

Also d3monkid12, im talking about a PC, of course...

whats interesting here is that MS store downloads on the PC are the exact same ****, and both are wired at 1gbps... plus the One X has all ports specified by MS open.

 

I'm in central Texas I've spent many many hours on the phone with Microsoft and EA all ports are open have done all basic troubleshooting techniques but I am on the xbox one s and with the way this is going there's no way I'll be getting the one x.
ea wanted me to do a trace route but they only made the trace route for computers and of course I don't have one but that just goes to show how much they really care about their customers if they did they'd have something similar for all of their products/devices.

anyway I've done all troubleshooting with ea also that I know of other than that trace route but their customer service is just as bad
