Download/Install times really slow

I have noticed over last month or so, downloading and/or installing games has become really slow.

I have top speed broadband so I rule that out as an issue.

Is anyone else noticing this?

Agonizingly Slow Download and Install Times

Before anyone gets all "Jerry Martindale Luther Lewis" on me, i must state the following to preceed this discussion.

my Detailed Network Statistics and bandwidth usage over a course of twelve hours.

with all other devices powered down,

Download Speed: 0.88mbps

Upload Speed: 0.67mbps

Packet Loss: 0%

MTU: 1480

Latency (ping) 348 ms

bandwidth usage : 112.2bits/s-910kbits/s

These values are when im trying to update or download a game via xbox live. They dont change in the slightest. for the 6.7GB update for smite it would be give or take based on that math 8 hours 17 minutes to download. believe it or not folks itll be monday
before its done. thats right. i am barely clocking in a true download rate of around 0.15mbps based on how long a 10gig file took to install. but thats ridiculous right? that cant happen right? well apparently it did.

now, i have spent a total of 17 hours on xbox support all to be told by the last person to help me "oh its your ISP go call them we cant help" and im honestly kinda taken aback. i have the entire troublshooting process memorized now, because ive done it
seven times for them. i have done everything. and upon calling my ISP, i heard the same stuff. we cant help. its digital suicide guys.

the purpose of all of this is to educate those who are in a similar situation. please be patient with xbox support. they will do what they can. while u do that, give your isp a call. and worst case scenario ive recommended a full reset of all devices. seems
to help a little. sucks living in low income housing with bad internet though i barely pull 1.5mbps apparently...

Destiny - installation time ?!

The XBOXOne seems to just have slow as hell install times. I have cable internet and have yet to not have to wait a few hours for a game to download. Pretty pathetic and it doesn't really make sense.

 

I have not noticed any slow downs. Have you tried running the network statistics on your console to see what it is reporting? Are you running wireless or wired?

 

MY network is 7mb down but when i install a game it downloads at a steady 3.70mb at a rate of 1.66gb/hour.

this is weird cause my network streams full speed on Twitch and Youtube :/

 

That is a are relatively slow circuit and 7mb is maximum when functioning optimally and all the bandwidth is being used by one operation. With a circuit that slow it is going to take some time to download and install the games because they are all very
large.

 

no... it downloads at 3.70mb NOT the full 7mbs. i can watch Twitch at the full speed but downloading games...sorry but no. im the only person connected to the network and it has a 82ms ping and 1% packet loss so i KNOW its not the connect strength. i start
the download and it downloads at full for 10min or so then it go to the static 3.70mb download. its capable of full download but just doesnt want to

my new current network has a slower speed from the old 15mb but has unlimited data.
