Download games with gold

I've a problem "purchasing" the games with gold:

By clicking "buy for xbox one" at a game with gold, the box with the payment options appears.

It seems like i have to add creditcard informations to enable the "confirm" - button.

I don't understand why this should be needed. First of all, the games with gold are free and i also have a few euros prepaid-credit left.

How can i download my games with gold, without adding credit card informations?

Can't download Army of Two without having to pay

Trial codes don't change your account status to gold. You can download the Xbox One Games with Gold with a trial because a gold subscription is required to keep playing it for free, but a full gold subscription is required in order to download 360 Games
with Gold games.

 

No games with gold?

HI everybody,

I want to download the new games with gold game. But i can't find the game? on my dashboard there is no games with gold item or tab. and when i go to search games en type the title i want to download (dead island in this case) i can't download it.

I am sure i have gold because i can make parties. I had the games with gold item when it just started. when you could download Dead rising for free.

How can i still download the games with gold games.

I have the same issue, always could get the games with gold free without credit card or if I buy one with a prepaid code but now it wants me to enter details that are not necessary plus I don't even have a cc. Always used prepaid codes. So what's the deal....

 

For xbox one games you can buy at anytime with or without a creditcard

However for 360 Webmarketplace purchases you must have a valid payment option on file for your region

It does not affect the price it will remain free bit you must have a valid payment option

Also should be noted that a only the account with actual gold not shared home gold can be usrd to purchase games from games with gold via the 360 Web marketplace

The only other way is via a 360 console

 

Currency does not work on the webmarketplace for 360 fyi

Also it should be noted it keeps you from downloading the wrong versions of the content as most games with gold 360 games is region locked

It is impossible, for a xbox one game with gold, to click the "Confirm" - Button (I can only get the german site).

The last game with gold (The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing) I purchased the same way and it worked just fine.

This is complete BS wat the hell is MS doing I don't have a CC but a 3 month gold account for my 8 year old son now I cant download the free games for him so why the hell did I waste my money on the gold account..Wil they actually fix this problem..

 

It's not an error what you have to do is use the master account and family setting.

Your 8year old son can play online without using your xbox account as per the

Home gold allows all profiles on the main console to have gold

This means your son can use his own profile to play his games with out your credit card info

A child should not be on an master account or an adult account anyways

Only the master account has to have actual gold

 

My account is the master account on my own Xbox!

But it's also saved on a friend's xbo (where it isn't the master-account).

If that is the reasion for my "purchase"-issue, it's a bug (imho).

So it can be an master accoumt

What you need to do is a create a separate child account for your child viola he does not need to use your account eve nor should anyone else be using your accoumt

All apps are available to all sub accounts

The master account should have a payment options. On file to download 360 games with gold or any 360 games

Only if you have a 360 console can your do it without a payment option on file

 

It isn't a bug

In order to get 360 games whenever free or paid you must have an payment options. On file if you don't have a 360

Unless you are doing something shoddy like sharing your games not with your family then your son would have access to your games and apps but not your payment method as long as you don't allow him on your profile which he shouldn't be on anyways

 

I have gold account still can buy van helsing Without cc that game is shown as Free, Thief however shows as 0,00€ and asks for a cc. Yes it's Xbox one no it's not x360 game (far as I know) and why for one game that's free a cc and the not for the other
game. Yes tried both same day/hrs. Weird...

But xbox one games that you buy directly from the xbox one console because you are using the console with the home gold it still applies

But home gold does not apply for 360 games you need the actual primary account to make the purchase

 

It's the way the marketplace is used

Xbox one came after ms points was discontinued

So they don't have the issue
