MKV playback support could be coming to Xbox One.

Its ridiculous, tis should have been the case from the get go, MKV is a really high quality,... yet really compressed format, Sony enabled most video formats including FLV and MKV out of the box...

Your console is loud to start with because Skyrim uses the new disc format. Games that use the new disc format will keep spinning for a couple of minutes after starting the game when installed.

And the 3.8GB is due to compression. The whole game is installed. It's just that it is compressed to take up less space.

You want to use uncompressed audio at any time you can because it yeilds the best representation to the original analog recording. Only use formats like DTS /DTS HD or Dolby Digital/Dolby TrueHD if the media you are playing was already compressed into that
format. Most if not all games are always native PCM. Movies where compression is key use compression formats.
