    Download game slowly or stop in instant on mode


    I choose instant on mode, shut down the console(still in instant on mode), the downloading will stop or sometimes the speed is very slow.

    Instant on mode. Downloads either stop or very slow when console is off

    Had this problem for a while now. I always have my console in instant on mode, and when downloading anything I get great speeds. But if I start a download and turn off my console, the downloads either stop or download really slowly. As slow as maybe 300megs
    over the period of an hour or so. Soon as I come out of sleep mode the downloads jump back to high speed.

    Console is wired to router and NAT is open. I have an external HDD that I install to and it is set to not shut down when console is off. No idea what is going on. Any ideas? Thanks

    No downloads in Instant On Mode

    I'm having the same issue. Downloads stop when the console is turned off even though both instant on mode and download updates automatically are selected. Also, I recently purchased a game from the web and it did not automatically download. I had to manually
    download it on the console.

    My games are not downloading when I turn the Xbox off and instant mode is on

    I'm having the same issue but with my series X. Downloads fine while on but as soon as i turn it off (in instant on mode) everything stops

    So if you are downloading something while your Xbox is in Instant-On mode, then your Xbox will download any updates or games. In your case, your Xbox is downloading Gears of War 4, so your Xbox will make some noises while the download is going on. This is
    all normal. The noises should stop when it is done downloading the game. No need to worry about it :)
